As we are currently facing wars on variety of fronts from tackling climate change, fighting terrorism to managing pandemics, I thought it relevant to suggest a book about wine and war. This book addresses the French wine community’s struggles it endured during World War II. At times, our struggles may seem so overwhelming that we may be compelled to give up the fight; however, as told in Donald & Petie Kladstrup’s book Wine and War: The French, the Nazis and France’s Greatest Treasure, humans truly are resourceful, clever and determined during difficult times. The key to success is communities coming together, united in their efforts.

Grab a glass of your favourite French wine and begin reading! I highly recommend this book and hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Let’s make wine and not war! Wouldn’t the world be a better place?
