Tasting Notes

Famille Bougrier Sauvignon Blanc 2020 ~ Loire Valley

The Vigneview

I think we’re all longing for a little sunshine and some good old fashioned socialising at the moment. I’m so done with texting! Last night I opened a bottle of Famille Bougrier Sauvignon Blanc 2020 from the Loire Valley and it really lifted my spirits. An abundance of aromas and flavours that lingered on an amazing, mouthwatering finish. This wine leaves you wanting more…more…more!!!

Considering the price point for this bottle, I think this wine is great value for money. From the start, my senses were awakened. Floral aromas of fragrant honeysuckle, citrus, ripe juicy pears and herbaceous notes of freshly cut grass greeted my nose. Flavours of zesty lemons and lime tantalised my tastebuds. A vibrantly, refreshing acidity was uplifted by a slightly saline minerality that carried these flavours away on a lengthy, lingering finish.

Honestly, if you’re looking for a joyful wine to brighten your day, then look no further! Enjoy a glass or two with some good company!

Food Pairing

I would pair this Famille Bougrier Sauvignon Blanc 2020 with some lovely crostinis topped with an amazing goats’ cheese drizzled with honey!

Cheers! x
