Can you tell the difference between a Chablis and a Montrachet? Are you someone who chooses a restaurant based upon the wine list? Is terroir something that you can actually explain? Do friends come to you for wine recommendations? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you’re in luck because the Aldi Wine Club recruitment has begun and they’re looking for people just like you!
So, what’s the catch? There isn’t one really. Once selected for its panel, Aldi’s Wine Club will send you three bottles of wine to review over a six week period. All you have to do is post your review using #AldiWineClub. Besides receiving three free bottles of wine, you’re benefiting from a sneak peak at Aldi’s newest award winning wines. In return, Aldi is able to gain honest, consumer feedback on its latest wine selection. Such a clever way of getting the customers involved! It’s definitely a win-win situation.
If you’re more of a burgeoning wine expert, rather than a full-blown sommelier, there’s no need to shy away. Included with the bottles of wine are tasting notes to guide you along as you review them. Keep in mind that a vast majority of wine consumers know very little ‘technically’ about what they are actually drinking; however, they will be able to discern if they like or dislike a wine. This is a fundamental aspect of selling wine, as the consumers dictate the sales!
By this point, I’m sure you’re eager and ready to apply.
- Follow the @AldiWineClub Twitter account and continue to follow it throughout the competition
- Email Aldi’s Wine Club ([email protected]) with your name, Twitter account and 150 words explaining why you think you should be selected to become part of the Aldi Wine Club.
Good luck and may the wine gods be with you!!
